Tour Day Nine: I Left My Heart in Obispo

8-27-08

San Luis Obispo is a cool little town.  It reminds me a lot of New Hope Penn, without all the hippies.  The people are friendly, there are a lot of cool little shops, and a Gum wall.  What more could one ask for with a small town?  Apparently my buddy saw Mike Ness just sitting on a sidewalk bench chillin, upon hearing this, I abandoned my post and went on the hunt.  So of course by the time I get to said bench, Mike Ness is long gone. You really do miss so much hanging out behind the merch table.

New Tomorrow opened the show again, which is really cool because San Luis Obispo is their home town.  They were totally gracious hosts and brought us delicious sandwiches when we got there.  They are the kind of band thats near impossible to follow, especially in their hometown, I'll be super excited to see them when the come out East again.

We're headed out to San Fransisco next.  It's another place that I've always wanted to go to.  I'm really thankful to be on this tour and to be able to get to places I've not been to before.  I have always thought the best way to see America is through the window of a van, and now driving up through California I know I'm right.
