Today was our second show of the tour, and my first shower since I left home. It was glorious, both the show and the shower. Warship is my new favorite band. That pretty much sums up how kick ass their set was. LM left the stage a bloody and bruised mess. MC Chris kept the flow going strong. Reggie is still the best, their set ending not once, but twice. Both times without James on stage.
The Shower afterwards is what I'd imagine getting broken out of concrete after being touched by the Grey Gargoyle, both liberating and refreshing. I don't think I have ever smelled worse in my life. If a Wampa and Swamp thing had a baby and it was living in Texas in the middle of August that would be a pretty accurate description of my stink. Gross. I also decided to shave with a razor that I got in a four pack for ninety nine cents. Obviously by now you can see why I'm not in Mensa. I came out of that shower not even caring about the bloodshed, or that my neck looked like Jack the Ripper phoned it in. I was finally clean, and some what cleanshaven and it was worth it.
After the show a few of us went to an IHOP for Dinner/Breakfast. It was 2am and their entire staff were incredibly friendly and way too energetic for that hour. They must be mainlining Redbull in the kitchen because I cannot imagine (especially being a server myself), anybody being that ready to go and happy to be there on the graveyard shift. It was like being attacked by a Happy Monster who wants to talk your ear off before serving you your pancakes. Was the meal worth it? I couldn't really tell you. I almost fell asleep in my hash browns.
Austins next, can't wait to get there.
